It rains a lot in Istanbul. The city is built on hills so when it rains, it usually pours, hence flushing down on the sidewalks. Makes you not want to desperately invest in expensive and chic shoes, at least the ones you use on your way going places.. Sooo..I just need an excuse to like something new – but – as I was walking my dinner home and stopped by one of the few good shoe resellers here, Deriden, I kind of fell in love with these leopard rubber booties from DKNY, also available in black. Not the most glamourous booties you’d think of but so sweet and practical! Practical is not always a cute word but my beloved Americans know cute practical so well unlike my fellow Swedes. These ones happened to be on sale so I couldn’t make a bargain as my size was out of stock but my plan is to hunt them down in another Deriden shop tomorrow after work. Wish me luck!
